Entry #10

Hello everyone! This is my tenth blog entry, and this will also be my last and final entry. It's been a long adventure for my product, but i think everything is coming together. Today I will recap every component of my product.

My product will only be available in three different sizes. 42', 48' or 52'. There would be no point in buying my product if you weren't going to get a decent size screen. Furthermore, my product will have full internet capabilities, and the ability to watch TV and surf the web at the same time. Movie theater quality audio. My televisions will come with detachable speakers and 1 sub woofer for the bass. I will provide 5 wireless speakers that automatically syncs to the television. The greatest thing about this idea is that it gives the consumers the ability to create his own home theater. transfer files from other computers and share files with other internet TV users. Just think about how we can e-mail now, sending pictures and documents, but what if we could just send them to our TVs. This would take multi-tasking to a whole other level. For security the internet will have a software that runs in the background to protect the user from hackers, spy-ware, and spammers. The software will contain 3 parts. A firewall which protects users from people tacking control of their computer. Anti- spy ware which blocks spy-ware. The social network Freedom, which comes with full HTML capabilities, so you can create your own page. Also a built in web-cam, in which you can edit your photos and then upload them to Freedom. The ability to use a basic edition of C++ programing software, which allows you to create your own programs. This aspect will allow you to use your creative mind to if you get bored watching TV. Finally, the ability to do transactions that include money transferring, paying bills, etc.

So there you have my product. This product will be on the expensive side, but will all of the capabilities I believe it will be well worth it. This will revolutionize the world. Thank you for reading!

Entry #9

This is my ninth blog entry and I only have more after this. My product is in the finalizing stages of almost becoming complete. There are many aspects that go into my product, but I believe that every idea has a purpose and it will help revolutionize television and the internet as we know it.

Another aspect that I would like my product to handle is the ability to due transactions, like online banking. There are many applications out right now that allow you to do your online banking via iphone or mobile web, but I would like my product to be able to do all kinds of transactions through one application. Such transactions that include money transferring, paying bills, etc.

Another idea is to have the capability to record favorite websites or applications. For example, Tivo has a program that automatically records shows that are similar to shows or movies that you may like. I want my customers to be able to personalize their tv to their own personality.

Entry #8

This is my eighth blog entry and things are starting to come to an end. My idea is almost complete and I believe it will only take a couple more posts to fully explain my product. We have been through many aspects of my product, but we still have a few more left. Just a recap of previous weeks, last week I blogged about using photo shop capabilities, which would allow you to upload and edit pictures on your TV. Also it will allow you to upload your pictures to the social network "Freedom."

Also for my product, I would like incorporate some type of programming aspect. Maybe using C++ programing software, which allows you to create your own programs. This aspect will allow you to use your creative mind to if you get bored watching TV. C++ programming is a very extensive program, but my aspect will only be the basic, since it would take a lot more software and money to have an advanced version.

So far we have a lot of aspects going into my product, but I believe that this product will revolutionize the whole world and create a new standard for TV. I only have a couple more posts and I believe that my product will be the future.

Entry #7

Hello everyone! This is my seventh blog entry and time is flying by. Only a couple more weeks left, and I believe that my product idea is coming along smoothly. We have been through many aspects and possible creative ideas that can go into the final production of the internet television, but we still have a couple of more things to cover.

Today we will discuss image and photo abilities. So since the Tv's will have webcams on them , they will be able to capture pictures as well. Also after capturing a picture you will be able to edit you photos using a basic edition of photoshop. Photoshop allows you to edit photos in many different and advanced ways. With photoshop you can do tasks such as making a photo lighter or darker, or even placing a person inside a picture. These capabilities are far too advanced for my product, but we will provide a basic photo editor, which will allow you to crop, rotate, re-size, or make the picture black and white.

Furthermore, another aspect with out photo capturing software is the ability to upload pictures from the webcam straight to your Freedom account. Also the TV comes with USB slots in which you can plug your camera in and upload and edit pictures as well. I believe that this capability will help market our Freedom social network and hopefully create more revenue.

Entry #6

Hello everyone! This is my sixth blog entry, and we coming closer and closer to fully creating my idea of the internet television. We have been through many aspects and possible creative ideas that can go into the final production of the internet television, but we still have a couple of more things to cover.

Today I would like to bring up to surface the idea of a new social group for only internet televison users. Now - a - days we have Facebook, Twitter, Skype, and Myspace, but how about something exclusive and new. We could call it Freedom, because with this social network you can have the freedom to do pretty much whatever you want, except freedom can only be accessed through your internet television. This social network also comes with webcam capabilities and full html capabilities for your profile.

HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language, and it is used for creating and designing web pages. This will allow users to upload pictures, design their own fonts, gifs, and all types of animations on their pages. I believe that that this social network will also help market our product and hopefully create more revenue.

Entry #5

Hello Everyone! This is my fifth blog entry and I have covered a lot of different aspects that associates with my product. Just a recap on everything I have gone through: Last week I talked about databases, which will be a vital part in my product. Also i talked about the parts that are needed, the audio capabilities, and today I am going to introduce the security aspect of my product.

Now a days security is a huge part of technology. Just for an everyday computer user security is an important aspect. With hackers, spammers, and scams out there security risks are everywhere. Identity theft increases every year, and people are getting smarter and smarter.

Now I know what your thinking. How am I going to put a security system in a tv? Well with the internet I will have a software that runs in the background to protect the user from hackers, spy-ware, and spammers. The software will contain 3 parts. A firewall which protects users from people tacking control of their computer. Anti- spy ware which blocks spy-ware, which can slow down your computer and cause it to malfunction. It also can use false advertisements to steal your personal information. Finally, the last part will be anti virus, which infects your computer and can make it suspect to hackers. It can also spread from one computer to another. Furthermore, our internet system will be ran on a private network, and users must have a code to gain access to it. For example, the Syracuse University Air OrangeX Network system.

Entry #4

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful break. This is my fourth entry of my blog, and things are starting to get a little bit more in depth with my Internet Television concept. We talked about the parts that are needed, the audio capabilities, and today I am going to introduce a new capability that could even further revolutionize my product.

Today I will introduce the database capability to the Internet Television. So just think about this, for example: Say that you want another source to save your files. Things like music, movies, pictures, documents, etc. Well how about saving them on your TV on your own database. For example, you could transfer files from other computers and share files with other internet TV users. Just think about how we can e-mail now, sending pictures and documents, but what if we could just send them to our TVs. This would take multi-tasking to a whole other level.

With all these abilities with the internet tv, it would require a huge server and network, like the 3g Verizon network. My goal is to allow people to be able to use one product for many different things. The internet tv can browse the web, own database, quality audio, and watch tv. The next thing we need to create are down-loadable applications. Hmmm...
